As Gaza is facing THE LONGEST EVER blackout of communication and internet access, eSIMs are the ONLY way for Palestinians to stay connected to each other and the outside world. The group of volunteers behind the Connecting Gaza initiative are prioritising and making sure doctors, other medical staff and journalists stay connected. Your eSIM donations literally save lives.
Buy Nomad and/or Holafly eSIMs and send QR code screenshot to
gazaesims@gmail.com
Check the Connecting Gaza website, Mirna_elhelbawi ’s social media and the connectgaza instagram for more information and updates. You can also check the impact your donations have through testimonies on those accounts.
*IMPORTANT* keep an eye on mirna_elhelbawi and connectgaza social media since other eSIMs donations (Airalo, Mogo, Simly) may also be needed depending on the location they are most needed at a specific moment. Different eSIMs have better connectivity in certain areas. This might also change with time as the conditions in Gaza are very unstable.
Here’s how to donate a nomad eSIM

Screenreader-accessible guide to purchasing an eSim through each of the five services that the Connecting Humanity team is calling for (Simly, Nomad, Mogo, Holafly, and Airalo)
Guide on how to tell if your plan has been activated, how to top up plans, and (for Nomad) how to tell when the auto-expiry will start
Crips for eSims for Gaza has a donation pool where they will purchase esims for you
[ID: First image is a tweet by Mirna El Helbawi (@Mirna_elhelbawi) reading, in all caps: “A critical decision: please help us keep Gaza connected! #ConnectingGaza @Connectinghumanity_”. It includes three images: the first is an email inbox showing the number of unused plans from each service, with numbers ranging from 1 to 557. The second image reads “As shown in the screenshot, we have less than 1500 esims. We have been voluntarily sending and activating esims for people in Gaza because it is their only way to have proper communication and internet access. We send more than 3000 esims daily. We cannot continue in our precious initiative without your generous–” image preview cuts off.
The third image in the tweet is the same as the second image in this post. It is a graphic reading “Another call to action: We need Nomad (regional Middle East) Promo code: NOMADCNG; Holafly (Israel + Egypt) Promo code: HOLACNG; Simly (Palestine + Middle East). Please send QR code screenshot to: Gazaesims@gmail.com.
The last 8 images in the post contain an explanation of how to purchase an eSim through Nomad and send the QR code to the team. See the second link in my reblog for an accessible version of these instructions. End ID]

Hundreds of Jewish anti-war demonstrators have been arrested during a Passover seder that doubled as a protest in New York, as they shut down a major thoroughfare to pray for a ceasefire and urge the Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, to end US military aid to Israel.
The 300 or so arrests took place on Tuesday night at Grand Army Plaza, on the doorstep of Schumer’s Brooklyn residence, where thousands of mostly Jewish New Yorkers gathered for the seder, a ritual that marked the second night of the holiday celebrated as a festival of freedom by Jews worldwide.
The seder came just before the US Senate resoundingly passed a military package that includes $26bn for Israel.

Imagine calling Palestinians documenting their own genocide on their iPhones powered by a MacGyvered car battery “misinformation” because it hasn’t been backed up and approved of by 40 peer-reviewed data analysts from the West that you personally approve of. I can’t imagine being that ghoulish and heartless

Apparently people who don’t have executive dysfunction think that actually working on something is the hardest part of doing something. And that’s why they get mad that you call the rest of the project “easy” after you’ve finally worked through doing the plan and know what to do when you’re working.
So when you’re through with the epiphany of how to make it physically possible to make the thing you’re making, and you’re sharing the plan with excitement, because the hard part is over, and now you only have to get your hands moving and do it, they get mad at you like
“it’s not that easy! It’s a lot of hard work! >:C”
they mean it, because
to them, working is the hardest part.
They don’t have to fight their brains to get started. They don’t have to fight their way through making the choices, making the plan, making yourself make the thing. People who don’t suffer from executive dysfunction think that the hardest part is actually doing the thing.
when you have executive dysfunction, it’s like… you’ve just clawed your way up a long steep embankment of loose gravel, and you flop exhausted into the construction site, and you’re like “oh thank fuck, time to lay some bricks, i absolutely could do this all day” and the guy who drove to the site goes “what’s wrong with you man bricklaying is hard graft!”
not as hard as crawling up the gravel mountain bro
there’s also good hard and bad hard. doing the thing might be hard, but at least you’re doing it; it’s good hard. just getting to the thing in the first place is hard and it’s fucking miserable. executive dysfunction puts so many bad hard things in your way before you can get to even the good hard things.
sometimes i describe it as my transmission is broken, every thing else works fine but no matter how hard I pump the gas pedal, I ain’t getting anywhere because I can’t

We actually do not know how many have been killed in Gaza. The numbers of those killed per day are seemingly less everyday compared to the start of the war, but we also hear of new daily massacres. We’re also hearing of Palestinians dying of starvation everyday, a number which is not included in the death toll. There’s not enough search and rescue teams to pull people from under the rubble, or that it’s too dangerous to do so. The Ministry of Health is unable to function properly, doctors and nurses are being killed off as hospitals are routinely bombed over and over, which means the current death toll is not being updated frequently and is most likely inaccurate. The carnage that Israel has left and continues to leave will only further result in the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands, even long after this ‘war’ is over. Does that not scare you? Does that not anger you?
